Preferred names and spellings of Philippine mountains
For the sake of uniformity in nomenclature, PinoyMountaineer is suggesting the preferred use of the following names/spellings of mountains and outdoor destinations. The criteria for judgment used are as follows: (1) That which is more accurate in terms of etymology such as Manabu for Mataas Na Bundok; (2) That which has wider acceptance in the non-mountaineering community; and (3) That which is more used among mountaineers i.e. community consensus.
