Mountaineering feature on GMA News TV Channel 11’s “State of the Nation”

Last night’s episode of Channel 11’s “State of the Nation” carried a segment about mountaineering, which recognized the emergence of hiking as an increasingly popular recreational activity in the Philippines.

In the same episode, which featured appearances of our friends Niko Francisco, UPM President, and Philippe Arenillo of the Perfect White Shirt for the PinoyMountaineer shirts, I talked briefly about the need for responsible hiking, which included care for your self and care for the environment.
