Chronological order of Philippine mountains I have climbed
It is always nice to look back and keep track of the hikes you’ve done, and although I’ve recorded all my climbs since 2007 as annual “Climbing Logs”, I haven’t done so chronologically, in order of unique peaks and mountains I have reached. I will definitely strive to climb more!
As of November 25, 2015, I have climbed 155 unique mountains in the Philippines, covering all the regions. Note that this figure is just a number, in the sense that it doesn’t necessarily measure hiking experience accurately (i.e. Mantalingajan and Maculot both get just 1 count). Also, some people would count it differently (others even count ‘7 mountains’ in a Sicapoo hike) and in this sense my list is conservative (I only counted Timarid, Simagaysay, and Sicapoo itself).
Finally, and most importantly, the more you climb, the more you realise that there’s more you have not climbed – there are hundreds of mountains out there that have not yet been documented!
